Follow these three simple steps to split any bill.

Create a Tab

  1. Upload a photo of your receipt or paste a link
  2. Add tip if it's not already listed on the receipt
  3. Add yourself or the friend who needs to get paid back for the receipt
  4. Add Tabster friends to the receipt or share link via text

Split Items

  1. Everyone opens the interactive receipt on their phones
  2. Friends tap their items to claim
  3. For group items, swipe left to split

Pay Friends

  1. Friends review the items and amounts they owe
  2. For Venmo users, clicking pay will open Venmo to pay back automatically. For non-Venmo users, you have the option to configure other payment methods for use.

How do I add payment methods?

Go to your profile to choose your payment service (Venmo, Revolut, PayPal, Bizum, and more) and add your handle.

Can I edit a receipt after creation?

Just click the edit icon on the receipt card or in the claim items page.

How do I split the tip?

▾

Once you add the tip during receipt creation, it's automatically split fairly between friends based on how much they claim.

How do trips work?

▾

Everyone adds all the receipts from the trip, and claims their items across the receipts. Once they're ready, each friend marks themself as done claiming items "ready to divvy." Then Tabster calculates differences owed between friends.
