Nudge or tag friends in comments on the trip card

Tag someone with an @ in the comments on a trip card and they will get a notification, exactly like on a tab.

You can also nudge from the three dot menu on the trip page. Useful when the trip is waiting on one person’s receipts or claims before it can be divvied up.

A nudge points at the specific thing that is missing, which tends to work better than a message to the whole group that everyone assumes is meant for somebody else.

Comments live on the trip itself rather than in a separate thread, so the question and the trip it is about stay together. Six months later the trip still explains itself.
