Tabster Help Center
Request & accept friends on Tabster to easily add them on dinners, trips and other expenses.
Being friends is what lets you add someone to a bill directly rather than sending a link and hoping they open it. For people you split with regularly, it is the difference between two taps and a chase.
It also unlocks the running tab between you. Every dinner, trip and expense you share nets into one balance. So to add your roommates and track ongoing roommate expenses, all you have to do is add them as friends on Tabster and start adding expenses. The stories - running tabs - at the top of the homepage will summarize the running total with each roommate or friend, updating as you go. Watch how running tabs work here.
Meanwhile you don’t have to be friends to split receipts or one-off expenses. Anyone can claim their items and pay from a link with no account at all: friends are for the people who keep turning up.
Trips and running tabs are the exceptions: everyone involved needs an account, because trips and running tabs run across days and many receipts. Everyone has to stay identifiable throughout, which is why accounts are required for trips and running tabs. It’s free to have an account and we do not sell your data, so it’s all upside.
Before anyone can pay you back, link the apps you use in your Tabster profile.
We're here for you. Email us at support@tabster.ai and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
